Flowers
“Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”
Luke 12 : 27 KJV
What is it about strolling through a flower garden that catches our eyes and brings us to a pause; to take in the fragrant atmosphere and array of colors around us and appreciate the beauty that is so calming and peaceful. We human beings have so many distractions in our lives, and plenty of concerns that very quickly can make our lives feel anything like a rose garden and the last thing we likely want to do is... stop and smell them. Interestingly, our Divine Creator is fully Aware of our troubles: In the verse from the Gospel of Luke, Jesus explains to his disciples (and all of us who will listen) that there will be no shortage of trials and troubles in our lives.
Despite this, we need to be aware that no matter what is going on in our day to day, it doesn't change the fact that we are completely dependent on God for all our needs. If Jesus Cares so bountifully for how He Provides for His flowers, how much more so He wants us Provided for. Yes, there are horrible circumstances that can take place, and we never want to undermine that, but rather to point to Him who wants to Carry us through all that. God is not the cause of misery, Satan is. Rather, God Is the cause of joy to those who seek Him. He is Faithful. He's Got this. Hang on to Him. He will carry you through.
